Indian Prime Minister is really so???

One might have gone through the article published by washingtonpost.com "India’s ‘silent’ prime minister becomes a tragic figure".

Some glimpses from the article are:

1.India’s Prime Minister Manmohan Singh helped set his country on the path to modernity, prosperity and power, but critics say the shy, soft-spoken
79-year-old is in danger of going down in history as a failure.

2.Every day for the past two weeks, India’s Parliament has been adjourned as the opposition bays for Singh’s resignation over allegations of waste and corruption in the allocation of coal-
mining concessions.

3.The story of Singh’s dramatic fall from grace in his second term in office and the slow but steady tarnishing of his reputation has played out in parallel with his country’s decline on his watch. As India’s economy has slowed and as its reputation for rampant corruption has reasserted itself, the idea that the country was on an inexorable road to becoming a global power has increasingly come into question.

4.“More and more, he has become a tragic figure in our history,” said political historian Ramachandra Guha. The historian told the Caravan, an Indian magazine, last year that Singh had been fatally handicapped by “timidity, complacency and intellectual dishonesty."

Although the article is very timely and has focused the actual picture of the present situation of India .It is true that UPA has failed to uplift India's economic condition and responsibility points to huge corruption and scams. Mostly ministers of UPA are involved with corrupt activities against the interest of Indian people.

But it is also true that personally Manmohan Singh is a clean man till date.Opposition's demand for his resignation basing on coal block scam is also reasonable. Now the question is every alliance Govt.has some limitations and perhaps to continue the Govt.and to maintain equilibrium in side the Govt.PM could not be strict in many occasions and due to his limitations only today he is called as "silent".

If today this UPA Govt. fall then what option will remain with the Indian people? whom they will give the responsibility of the Govt ? as BJP and other oppositions already have shown their inefficiency and corrupt activities in past.So it is the people who are in actual crisis as no body is thinking about the real condition of people.

It is clear from the Anna Hazare's movement that Indian people dislike UPA and opposition both and they do not rely on them... To be continued

Is WEst Bengal living inside the fist of a disguised fascist???

Following are the reports from news agencies:

"With no Trinamool Congress member present in the Lok Sabha, Acharia turned the debate into a Mamata-bashing exercise finding fault in her various actions since she came to power last year.

Initiating a discussion on effective steps to curb rising incidents of violation of human rights in the country, the CPM leader hit out at the West Bengal chief minister, without naming her, for arresting a farmer for questioning her at a public rally on rise in fertiliser prices.

Acharia said the chief minister dubbed the farmer as a Maoist and immediately got him arrested.

He pointed out that the Press Council of India chairman Markandeya Katju had described the chief minister as “dictatorial, intolerant and whimsical”.

Maintaining that the right to expression was a fundamental right, Acharia said this was a violation of human rights.

He also recounted the incident where in a Jadavpur University professor was arrested for circulating a cartoon.

Acharia said when the professor was manhandled by “TMC hoodlums”, the police picked him up and not the miscreant.

He pointed out that the State Human Rights Commission had made certain observations against the incident."

Would you think that WEst Bengal is living inside the fist of a disguised fascist???

UPA Govt of India a hIghest Corrupted Govt in the world

UPA of India, being responsible for Huge scams, corrupt and criminal activities during past a few years a new one ,Coal Block scam has been grafted on it's crown.

CAG's findings that private firms had got "undue benefits" to the tune of Rs3.06 lakh crore in coal, aviation and power sectors has added another chapter of corrupt activities of UPA Govt of India.

Rejecting the CAG report which estimated a gain of Rs 1.86 lakh crore to private firms in allocation of 57 coal blocks between 2005 and 2009, Coal Minister Sriprakash Jaiswal insisted that calculations were faulty and notional.

Defending the coal allocations without competitive bidding during that period, Jaiswal said the method adopted was "transparent" and that the auction route was not chosen as there were conflicting opinions from the Law Ministry in 2006.

Critics says UPA  a highest corrupted Govt. ever seen in India.
