Indian Prime Minister is really so???

One might have gone through the article published by washingtonpost.com "India’s ‘silent’ prime minister becomes a tragic figure".

Some glimpses from the article are:

1.India’s Prime Minister Manmohan Singh helped set his country on the path to modernity, prosperity and power, but critics say the shy, soft-spoken
79-year-old is in danger of going down in history as a failure.

2.Every day for the past two weeks, India’s Parliament has been adjourned as the opposition bays for Singh’s resignation over allegations of waste and corruption in the allocation of coal-
mining concessions.

3.The story of Singh’s dramatic fall from grace in his second term in office and the slow but steady tarnishing of his reputation has played out in parallel with his country’s decline on his watch. As India’s economy has slowed and as its reputation for rampant corruption has reasserted itself, the idea that the country was on an inexorable road to becoming a global power has increasingly come into question.

4.“More and more, he has become a tragic figure in our history,” said political historian Ramachandra Guha. The historian told the Caravan, an Indian magazine, last year that Singh had been fatally handicapped by “timidity, complacency and intellectual dishonesty."

Although the article is very timely and has focused the actual picture of the present situation of India .It is true that UPA has failed to uplift India's economic condition and responsibility points to huge corruption and scams. Mostly ministers of UPA are involved with corrupt activities against the interest of Indian people.

But it is also true that personally Manmohan Singh is a clean man till date.Opposition's demand for his resignation basing on coal block scam is also reasonable. Now the question is every alliance Govt.has some limitations and perhaps to continue the Govt.and to maintain equilibrium in side the Govt.PM could not be strict in many occasions and due to his limitations only today he is called as "silent".

If today this UPA Govt. fall then what option will remain with the Indian people? whom they will give the responsibility of the Govt ? as BJP and other oppositions already have shown their inefficiency and corrupt activities in past.So it is the people who are in actual crisis as no body is thinking about the real condition of people.

It is clear from the Anna Hazare's movement that Indian people dislike UPA and opposition both and they do not rely on them... To be continued
